Enchanted Forest Vibes

LeeKaJa Beauty Salon may be located right in the heart of the city at Four Seasons Place, but its interior is decked out with greenery everywhere. (Real) Potted plants line the facade, and vines hang prettily from beams. Even the mirrors have their own vines draped over them! Spacious with all the plants and wood furniture to complement it, the whole salon seemed like an enchanted forest! As I toured the salon, I felt like Aurora leaving her cottage and exploring her surroundings.

Premium Service

I was ushered to a hair styling station, and a staff member enquired about my drink preference. Soon, she came back with a tray loaded with my drink, a banana, and bite-sized snacks. The first step of the treatment was a hair wash, in which an assistant slipped a dressing gown on me before commencing the wash. The hair wash (and head massage) was expertly delivered by the assistant, and I was slightly regretful when the hair wash was completed. (I think I almost fell asleep at the sink itself.) The assistant wrapped my wet hair in towels, and took me back to the styling station to officially start the “Cinderella treatment”, performed by Senior Director Kelly Kim.

The “Cinderella Treatment”

As Kelly divided my hair into sections and applied the treatment onto my limp strands with practiced ease, she explained to me how the treatment works. Basically, due to natural elements and also heat (hot showers, blow drying), our hair loses moisture and important components such as keratin and collagen. Without these components, hair loses its shine, and turns dull, frizzy and/or unmanageable. With the “Cinderella treatment”, aloe vera, vitamins, and collagen are infused into the hair strands, bringing back healthy hair!

The treatment is said to be like “Botox for hair”, and anyone can go for this treatment. Ingredients used for the treatment are organic, and your hair transforms into a luxuriously smooth and silken sheet no matter the prior condition. Just so you know, my hair hangs halfway down my back, and I haven’t had a haircut in 6 months. I also permed my hair, and didn’t take good care of it. Suffice it to say that my hair was basically hay. Tangled hay. After the treatment, anything would have slid right through the strands, and I was amazed at the difference! Even Kelly was excited for me as she urged me to “feel it!”

With 25 years of experience under her belt, Kelly knows best when it comes to hair matters. She has attained numerous certificates from Korea and also a Masters from Vidal Sassoon and Tony&Guy Academy. Among her most outstanding work include styling for many fashion shows such as Prada and Ermenegildo Zegna. Not only that, but she was also a hair coordinator for famous movie stars in Korea! As a passionate hairstylist, she is always looking for the latest Korean trends for all ages. It was truly an honour to have her attend to me!
