Calia Has Officially Opened The First Ever International Outlet In Pavilion

Australia is a beautiful country with lots of wildlife, beaches, and of course food. There are many restaurants around that attract both locals and tourists alike. One very popular restaurant in Melbourne is Calia. In fact, it is quite highly recommended to anyone paying a visit to the area. Many of us who have been before will understand the hype that surrounds the premium eatery. Now, we can all be excited because Calia is opening their first ever international outlet right here in Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur!

For those who are unfamiliar, Calia is a place you can have dishes created with high quality ingredient. In fact, the restaurant goes as far as to claim that they use the highest quality sustainable ingredients.

These ingredients are from both local and global suppliers to create the memorable dishes on the menu. For example, you can have Hokkaido Sea Urchin or Australian Wagyu meant to tickle your tastebuds.

Moreover, the menu is carefully curated by Michelin Star Chef Francisco Araya. But what can you expect from him? Chef Francisco’s cuisine takes influence from his experience and training in Spain, Japan, China, and also Chile.

Moving on, the signature dish of Calia is the Wagyu bowl which is a favourite of many diners. In this bowl you will get premium Australian marbled Wagyu steak with 63° egg and Yuzu Koshu on Japanese Akitakomachi rice. You can also upgrade your steak to a Japanese A4 Wagyu steak, air flown direct from Japan.

Other dishes also on the opening menu include Aburi Salmon, the Toro Bowl, and Unagi Bowl. With the Aburi Salmon you will enjoy flamed seared salmon topped with Ikura and secret Calia sauce.

Calia is officially here on the 6th floor of Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur. It is located in the outlet where Ben’s Cafe previously was. Opening hours are 11AM to 10PM daily with last orders at 9:30PM. Also, they are currently only accepting walk-ins so there might be a crowd!
