Among them includes French Toast (grain bread with mixed berries compote & whipped cream) and All Day Brekkie (chicken sausages with turkey ham, fried egg & cheese sandwiched in a croissant). But their main highlight has to be the signature DIY breakfast platter, where you can customise it up to 7 items. They have various add-ons that you can pick here, ranging from chicken sausages to turkey ham, fresh king mushroom and potato salad.

2) D’Timer Cafe Damansara

D’Timer Cafe is where you can enjoy some of the famous Johor dishes without travelling hundreds of kilometres to the state itself. Among their must-try bestsellers including Laksa Johor, Mee Bandung and Soto Ayam Nasi Himpit/Bihun. Those who love briyani rice can look forward to the Johor-style of Nasi Briani Ayam Masak Merah or Daging. For appetisers, do try their Kacang Pool with Bread, which combines fava beans and minced beef with assorted add-ons such as a sunny side up egg, chopped onions and sliced green chillies. 3) Yin’s Sourdough Bakery and Cafe

Chan Su Yin, the baker who operates Yin’s Sourdough Bakery and Cafe take pride in baking the bread and buns using only whole ingredients with none of the commercial yeast and even artificial additives. 4) Rekindle @ Damansara Uptown

If cakes are what you are looking for, Rekindle has plenty of decadent choices right here. Their signature Rekindle Cheesecake happens to be a crowd favourite among many patrons who frequented the cafe. You can also find other assorted cheesecakes such as Burnt Cheesecake and Oreo Cheesecake. They have various mille crepes, brownies and macarons too, all of which come in different flavours. Best paired with one of their coffee or tea selections.

5) The Good Batch (Restaurant +Bar)

Those who frequent Damansara Uptown should be familiar with The Good Batch, which has dominated the popular neighbourhood’s ever-growing cafe scene since 2013. They underwent a makeover in 2018, complete with a new menu to entice both loyal customers and newcomers. The Good Batch, of course, is famous for its comfort-food varieties such as all-day breakfast (e.g. Classic Buttermilk Waffles with choice of dip, Breakfast Hangover Mess), Asian rice (e.g. Nasi Ayam Percik Klasik) and Pasta Mania (e.g. Assorted Mushroom Aglio Olio, Crispy Turkey Ham Carbonara). 6) Cafe Lafayette

Cafe Lafayette’s speciality lies in its fusion mix of comfort foods, offering both Italian and Western cuisines. Among their must-order items include Cafe Lafayette’s juicy Grilled Chicken Chop served with delicious homemade sauce, mashed potato and garden salad. Their menu includes various pastas and risottos too, namely Chicken Carbonara (served with premium chicken ham!) and Mushroom Risotto. For burger lovers, their Spicy Crispy Chicken Burger with Fries comes highly recommended as part of their all-day set lunch menus. The cafe is also a good hangout place, where you can sit back and relax with a cup of freshly brewed coffee or ice-blended beverage with your friend(s) or your loved one.

7) MadHatter Desserts

Marcus Low, who runs MadHatter Desserts at Damansara Utama is a runner up for MasterChef Asia in the first season. Here, he offers both unique and familiar desserts, namely Claypot Rice — a combination of warm and cold concoctions such as glutinous rice & barley warm pudding and rice milk snow ice. If you prefer the more traditional varieties, he also offers the classic chocolate brownie using Cocoa 70% and served with vanilla ice cream. You can also find other colourful sweet morsels like Caramel Dark Chocolate Tart and Watermelon Asam Boi Tart as well as assorted sourdough bread.

8) Soylab Damansara Utama

The name of this place says it all, where their speciality lies in both soymilk-based beverages and desserts. Their signature soymilk isn’t the regular variety since they use only non-GMO soybeans to make the beverages. You can also enjoy other soymilks with different flavours such as grass jelly, adzuki red bean, matcha and black sesame. They also serve hot & cold beancurd, soy shaved ice (Soy Frozen), dairy-free soy soft serve in a cup or cone and even Soy Cendol. Fancy for some fluffy soy pancakes a.k.a. Soyffles? Try their recommended Soylab Edition (soyffle pancakes with soy whipped cream, sugar syrup & soy soft serve) or Berry Bananamania.

9) A Pie Thing

Be it sweet or savoury, there’s something for everyone here at A Pie Thing, where they specialise in — you guessed it — various pies. You can easily spot them since their corner shop lot is facing near the main road. Need recommendations? Here are some of their delicious pies worth trying, namely Chocolate Mint Pie, Nutella Pie and The Mashacre. The latter is actually a thick pie layered with three savoury toppings that include mashed potato, peas and gravy. You can order it a la carte or make it a combo meal, which comes with either a soda or bottled water.

10) Shugatori Dessert Cafe

A popular dessert cafe that has been around since 2016, Shugatori specialises in Shibuya toasts and waffles. The former refers to the Japanese type of thick buttery toasts combined with various fillings such as Kiwi Yoguruto (kiwi & strawberry), Ryokucha (matcha cream & powder) and Divine Chocolate (chocolate ganache & light chocolate cream). Each toast comes with a scoop of ice cream on the side. Their waffles are just as good, notably Shugatori’s Banana Bomb Waffle — thick, yet fluffy waffles topped with assorted add-ons ranging from banana brulee to Hawaiian coconut flakes and a scoop of caramel sauce-drizzled vanilla ice cream. Do try their croffles too, which are basically a combination of croissants and waffles with delicious toppings like Lotus Biscoff, Reese Peanut Butter and Blueberry Compote Crumble.
