This Man’s Complaint About McDonalds In Broken English Is Confusing Us

Learning a new language can be quite hard and many do actually struggle with English. Being a native speaker in English, even I can mess up sometimes. But recently when this man posted his complaint online in broken English it left many readers confused.

He took to Facebook to post in a popular Chinese discussion group KL Blow Water (link here) about his experience at McDonalds. The incident took place at the McDonalds outlet in Medan, Ipoh.

This is the best interpretation I can give based on his post. He believes that everyone is interested in knowing the truth which is why he felt he must speak up. It all begins when he went to the McDonalds outlet in Medan, Ipoh for a meal at 6 or 7pm.

The food he received was undercooked and when he went to complain, the employee ignored him and pretended like nothing was wrong. A receipt was also not given as proof of purchase which makes it difficult for him to prove his point.

He then ends his post with a few curses for the outlet and employee.

A few members of the group commented on how confused they were by his use of English in the post.

It’s not clear if he crafted the post with the help of Google translate but we all know it’s possible. Google translate has given some pretty dodgy translations before. To the point that Jimmy Fallon has turned it into a show bit.

Anyway, maybe next time keeping it short and simple is enough to send the message through. Kudos to him for trying though.
