When you hear the name Sungai Buloh, I’m guessing the first thing that comes to mind is the R&R or maybe the hospital. I was in the area one day and decided to explore and see if there are any nice cafes around. I was happy to discover that there are indeed a few charming and aesthetic cafes around.

So, if you ever find yourself in the Sungai Buloh area, why not drop by one of these cafes for a cup of good coffee and tasty food?

1. 3B Drip & Dutch Cafe Gallery

Tucked away in Pusat Komersial LGSB which by itself is a very cool place filled with industrial vibes, 3B Drip & Dutch is a café gallery and roastery café powered by THREE BEARS DUTCH COFFEE (3B INC). It is a retail café gallery where you can browse and purchase their coffee products. As a café, they serve Korean food and self-roasted coffee beans via their house blend/house signature coffee. I was pleasantly surprised by their selection of Korean food – I ordered the lunchbox rice which was delicious. I might just go all the way to Sungai Buloh again to try the other dishes on their menu. Coffee-wise, I am not much of a connoisseur, so you’ll have to go and try it for yourself. Overall, it’s a good place to chill and hang out for lunch or coffee.

2. Bichii Coffee

If you are looking for aesthetic vibes and a nice balcony seating area to sip your coffee in, Bichii Coffee is the place to be. It’s within the same compound as 3B Drip & Dutch in Pusat Komersial LGSB except they are located on the second floor. The café also doubles as a professional photography studio. Other than serving minimalistic interior, they also serve specialty coffee, beverages, and a small selection of pastries. Seating is limited, so you might want to call in advance to reserve a table especially during the weekends.

3. Xin Cafe 杺 · 咖啡館

Next on the list is another quaint and charming café in Sungai Buloh – Xīn Café is a Taiwanese style café housed in a two-storey shop lot. Offering a spacious and comfortable environment, patrons are able to relax and enjoy the natural lighting that comes in through their floor to ceiling windows. There is also a large bookcase filled with English and Chinese books that you can borrow to read while you are there. The café offers food and beverages – their coffee has received good reviews but some visitors have mentioned that their food portions are quite small.

4. Ra-Ft Cafe’ / Bistro (Sierramas)

If you are looking for a breakfast or brunch place in Sungai Buloh, look no further than Ra-Ft Cafe’ / Bistro at Sierramas. From delicious breakfast selections to homemade bread, home-cured salmon and in-house coffee roasting, there is something for everyone at Ra-Ft Cafe’. They are an Italian style café that features a Western-Italian menu with some hints of Asian influence. The café itself is roomy, well-lit and a great option for friends or family to get together for a weekend brunch. They also have outlets at Binjai 8 and Arcoris Plaza.

5. Wonder Dessert Cafe

Although they are under a different name – De’Batik Cakery & Beverages – on social media, search for Wonder Dessert Café if you are using your GPS to navigate you way here. Those with a sweet tooth and fellow chocolate lovers will be happy to spend time in this café while indulging in the variety of desserts offered. There are crepes, Belgian waffles, desserts, milkshakes – you name it, they’ve got it. There are plenty of food options available as well with a mixture of Western and Asian dishes. Reviews from patrons have been positive with many of them saying that they are very affordable.

6. Lot 91 Cafe

A container-themed café, Lot 91 is a breakfast spot that is open from 7am to 12pm daily. They are known to sell the best mee rebus in Sungai Buloh and patrons have also mentioned that their mee jawa and soto taste pretty good as well. With reasonable pricing, friendly staff, comfortable environment and of course, amazing food, it comes highly recommended from the locals. Customers can choose to sit inside the container or at the gazebos outside.

7. Ganu Cafe

Another café located within the Pusat Komersial LGSB is the Ganu café. They are known for serving authentic Terengganu food, the only place in Sungai Buloh that offers it. Open for business from 7am to 5pm, you can enjoy a variety of East Coast cooking in dishes such as nasi kerabu, nasi minyak, nasi dagang, laksam, ikan singgan, ikan bakar, and budu. It’s a simple café but the food will definitely make up for it. If you are in the area and you’re looking for a lunch spot, do consider Ganu café. I’m also happy to report that there are lot of parking spots (free of charge) at Pusat Komersial LGSB.
