Adam Levine Is Leaving The Voice After 16 Seasons

The sad news is true, Adam Levine will be leaving the popular television show, The Voice. He has been an integral part of the show for 16 seasons and was set to return for the 17th season. Unfortunately, he has made the announcement of his departure.

Adam Is Leaving

Adam posted on his instagram here in which he expressed his heartfelt thanks to everyone. He reflected back on the beginning after the first recording of the show when he realised it would be a hit.

Thanking everyone from the producers to the hosts and the other coaches, it is easy to see how emotional he is feeling about this. Especially since he was part of the original team who built the show to become the success it is.

Reactions From Coaches

One person who will surely miss him is Blake Shelton; and the feeling is definitely mutual. In his post Adam writes “I couldn’t hide my love for you if I tried. Seriously. I tried. Can’t do it. Our friendship is and always will be one for the books. Whatever this whole surreal experience was, Im just happy I got to experience it with you. You’re my brother for life.”

Blake Shelton took to Twitter to express how he feels about it.

Other Reactions

But it was not just the coaches who are expressing their emotions. Billy Gilman was a contestant in Season 11 and part of Team Adam. He finished the season as the show’s runner up. Taking to Twitter, he thanked Adam for being his coach and encouraged him to slay.

Many fans will definitely miss Adam’s presence on the show. He is the backbone to how far it has come. Taking his spot will be Gwen Stefani who is dating coach Blake Shelton. Maybe there will be some banter that could fill up the Adam Levine shaped hole in our hearts.
