Yuna is basically a Malaysian idol with her sweet voice and lovely music. In fact, she’s not just popular in Malaysia but also all over the world. She has collaborated with popular musicians like Usher and G-Eazy. Now, she is up for an award from E! People’s Choice Awards!
What’s the award she could win? Well it’s Most Inspiring Asian Woman of 2019 and she’s got some competition. There are a total of eight nominees from around Asia including China, Thailand, and South Korea.
However, we’re pretty sure that Yuna is totally meant to win that award. Look at how much she has accomplished in her music career. She has already won a total of 32 awards!
Also, she has a beautiful balance between West and East. Her collaborations happen with both musicians from the West and the East. Some Asian artists that she has worked with include MIYAVI, SonaOne, and Aizat Amdan.
She is also pretty humble and remembers her roots. Did you guys see the beautiful wedding she had in Pahang? Absolutely gorgeous!

Meanwhile, she stands strong in regards to her religion. Her headscarf can be seen as a little unusual in the Western music scene but she wears it with pride.
She has said ” I’m really happy with where I am right now, you know. I’m a Muslim. I don’t try to hide it. I’m also a girl who loves music. And I don’t try to hide that as well.”
