With September coming to an end soon, many of us are starting to really get into the spirit for Mooncake Festival. This year, it is falling on the 1st of October which is just around the corner. It is a time for family to gather together and have reunion meals. Additionally, some families enjoy going out and looking at sights. So where are some places you can check out with family and friends? These places are great for you to dress up, take pictures, maybe have a meal, and just enjoy that feeling of reunion!
Mooncake Festival at Kwai Chai Hong
Kwai Chai Hong is a lane in Chinatown that literally translates to ‘Ghost Lane’ and features pre-war buildings. These buildings have been restored and now house many great eateries and cafes. However, for the Mooncake Festival, it is transformed into a beautiful instaworthy spot. Until the 4th of October, check out 8 unique jade bunnies by 8 local artists.
The artists are Nini Marini, Farah Mohan, Habsah Saufi, Pamela Tan, Master Siow, Alice Change, Drewfunk, and Abdul Shakir. In addition, there is a giant jade rabbit that can stand taller than some of us. While visiting, do take note that the rabbits are not meant for being touched and played with.
