Encore Melaka is a great place to consider adding to your itinerary when traveling to Melaka. This show is a performance meant to show the rich culture of Melaka through song and dance. It also features the use of modern age technology in creating theatrical techniques.
What’s Encore Melaka?
The show follows the narrative set through the Melaka cultural song as a way to showcase 6 centuries of history. Guests will also be treated to a new experience of sitting in a theatre that rotates 360-degrees. There are also multiple platforms on stage that will bring a whole new element of watching a show.
A lot of care and thought has been put into the show which features 200 local performers. Everything from the costume to props to accessories are carefully selected to truly reflect Melaka’s culture and heritage.
Furthermore, the theatre also uses projection mapping to create intricate and eye-catching backgrounds. The stunning backdrops completely sets the stage for the talented performers to take you away.
Each show is 70 minutes long and brings the audience on a journey through space and time. Every audience member will watch as a story of a rich historical place unfolds.
Ticket Information
Tickets are broken into a few categories with different price points. Under the standard seat, MyKad holders pay RM128 while international guests pay RM148. Meanwhile, the premium seats will cost MyKad holders RM228 and international guests RM248.
There are also VIP seats which are RM528 for MyKad holders and RM568 for international tourists. Lastly, wheelchair users need only pay RM98 to enter the hall.
Promotions!
Currently there are ongoing promotions that are superb good at helping your budget. From now until the 30th of November you can make use of these two promotions.
Firstly, MyKad holders can purchase a standard ticket at RM148. A second standard ticket can be purchased for only RM10! Tickets can also be upgraded to premium tickets for RM10 each. Your total purchase would only be RM178 for two premium tickets.
Secondly, you can purchase their Encore Staycation packages at a cheaper price. A premier room with breakfast and two standard tickets are only RM318. Just add RM20 to upgrade each ticket to a premium one. There is also a deluxe room with breakfast and two standard tickets for purchase at RM338. However, this promotion is exclusively for MyKad holders only.
Lastly, are there any senior citizens or students out there wanting to save some money? From now until the 31st of December, senior citizens and students can purchase their tickets at 50% off. Furthermore, the promotion applies to all three ticket categories. To add, children below the age of 12 can enter for FREE!
