Cool Down At These 8 Dessert Spots in Kuching

Ais kacang (ice kacang/ABC), cendol, ice cream and so on… Kuching certainly has plenty to offer when it comes to desserts. If you’re a self-proclaimed sweet tooth or are just hunting for some cool, sweet treats, here’s where you can cool down at these 8 dessert spots in Kuching!

1) Ah Tan Ais Kacang

Here’s a popular food court called Jubilee Ground Hawker Centre, which has a stall selling ice kacang a.k.a. ABC. That stall in question is called Ah Tan Ais Kacang. What makes them such a go-to stall among many locals has to do with their creative variations of ice kacang. Among them includes White Lady (mixed fruits with sweet corn & lemon), Metahon (sweet & sour ice with lime) and even Watermelon Milo. Of course, there’s always the good ol’ classic Ice Kacang to choose from instead.

2) Swee Kang Ais Kacang

Here’s another recommended ais kacang place in Kuching called Swee Kang Ais Kacang. It occupies two shop lots, where they sell not only the usual ABC but also others such as Kacang Susu and Kacang Chendol, just to name a few. Their classic ABC itself is already good enough with all the usual ingredients included and best of all, it doesn’t taste overly sweet.

To get your hand on this ice kantong, try the one at the Ah Yong ABC Ice Kantong stall, where they layer the shaved ice with the sweetness of multi-coloured syrups.
