You know that feeling when you’re so frustrated that the only thing you feel like doing is to smash stuff? But the problem is that you can’t go round destroying other people’s or your own possessions. Well, for a price, you can now legally (and safely) unleash your inner Hulk whenever you feel like it. Dubbing itself the first “smashing house” in Malaysia, Neverland Masterpiece provides a safe space for those who want to vent their anger or frustration in a more physical manner.
“Smash”?
Yes, smash. The items that Neverland Masterpiece provide for smashing are unwanted second-hand goods, such as old tyres, old television sets, beer bottles, cups, and DVD players, keyboards, and even cars. They even categorise what you can smash into small, medium and large items. If you’re worried about what happens after you destroy the stuff, don’t worry. The destroyed items are then collected and re-categorised to recycle.
How much do I have to pay?
There are 3 different levels with different time limits, different pricing, and different amount of items you can smash.
Level 1: RM 150 per person for 20 minutes
Items to Smash: 12 beer bottles, 4 small items, 2 medium items
Level 2: RM 260 per person for 25 minutes
Items to Smash: 24 beer bottles, 8 small items, 3 medium items, 1 big item
Level 3: RM350 per person for 25 minutes
Items to Smash: 36 beer bottles, 10 small items, 4 medium items, 2 big items
For each session, a maximum of 4 people are allowed. “Gaming weapons” such as golf clubs, bats and steering locks are provided and your weapons require no extra payment.
Is it safe?
If you’re thinking “this sounds fun and everything, but what if I hit someone accidentally?”, don’t worry. Neverland Masterpiece provides “smashers” with a full set of protective clothes, including a hard hat, goggles, gloves and boots. Therefore, you’re well-protected in there with your fellow Hulks. Your protective outfit is free of charge as well.
Mini-Game
At the counter, you can also “fish” for a lucky box for RM 10. Rows of boxes are stacked up against the wall, and all you have to do is take the rod and hook a box of your choice. Apparently, the grand prize is a brand-new iPhone X, so you can try your luck there.
