Visitors to Malaysia often marvel at our delicious food and our hot weather, but another reason people flock this way is to shop. Luckily, there are now many premium outlets available nationwide that offer branded goods, luxury products and a whole range of items for a fraction of the normal price. Here are several outlets you can check out!

1) Johor Premium Outlets

With 130 designer brands in their outlet and savings of up to 65% daily, Johor Premium Outlets (JPO) is a success story if there ever was one. Targeting both locals and international visitors, the outlet is strategically located between Resorts World Genting and Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore. You can find brands like Burberry, Rockport, Gucci and many others. There are also restaurants onsite so you can refuel and recharge in between your shopping sprees.

2) Genting Highlands Premium Outlets

Taking a cue from the success of JPO, the Premium Outlets brand will apparently be branching out to Genting Highlands as well. Tentatively scheduled to debut later this year, this outlet will top the bill with a whopping 150 brands in store, taking it up a notch from JPO. No need to shop on land when you can go uphill, we say. Brands to look forward to include Calvin Klein, Guess, Puma and Michael Kors.

It will be located between Putrajaya and KLIA, and is set to open its doors in the middle of 2018. Brands that are confirmed on their roster include Giuseppe Zanotti and Kate Spade, among others. 7) Where Else?

Competition is stiff in Malaysia, and so 6 isn’t going to end the Premium Outlet War here. Many property developers have spoken to the media about plans to build new premium outlets elsewhere. There are talks of one in Ipoh, and one in Rawang too. Only time will tell where the next outlet will be, but the list will definitely grow longer as the years go by.
