Omakase is a Japanese concept that is well-suited to adventurous eaters, because it means you will be served with the chef’s selection – and it could be anything. Japanese cuisine isn’t limited to sushi and teppanyaki, and if you’ve always wanted to explore their food on another level, this is a fun way to do it. Half the fun is in the anticipation, as you will have no idea what goes into your food. Just put your trust in the chef, and enjoy your meal. Here are some restaurants in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor that provide Omakase style meals.

1) Oribe

If you want a temporary refuge away from the hustle and bustle of KL to enjoy a course of fresh Japanese cuisine, Oribe is a good choice. In this elegant and classy restaurant, they provide only the best – in terms of atmosphere and ingredients. With a combination of the finest food that’s steeped in Japanese tradition yet still contemporary, you’ll be in for a treat. Their Omakase meals start from RM350 onwards.
