Copper Restaurant is a chic Modern European restaurant in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, serving upscale creative food with strong Mediterranean influences. It was founded in 2014 by a husband-and-wife team, Chai Chun Boon and Zeehan Zahari.
Tastefully Designed Space
The restaurant uses lots of steel colours and powder blues matched against flourishes of copper. It is spacious, and it gives different atmosphere during daytime and at night.
A High Food Quality Production of Copper
In order to control the quality of the food served, the founders insisted to make approximately 90% of their food in-house. They have a charcoal oven in the kitchen named ‘Pira’. So all food that goes into the Pira oven will be named after it.
The founders also like to explore traditional culinary methods such as curing, charcoal grilling, and present their food with modern twists. According to them, this is all about multisensory appeal using flavors, textures and aroma.
They are very particular when it comes to choosing their ingredients. Hence, they source all meats and poultry from halal suppliers and are alcohol, pork and/or lard-free.
The Modern European Menu
The menu is simple, covering small plates, main courses, dessert and drinks within a few pages. The prices are also reasonable. They change their Set Lunch Menu every two days and their Roast Menu every week to incorporate the freshest ingredients that they can get a hold of.
Some of the items you must not missed are their grilled items such as Charcoal Grilled Avacado & Calamari, Charcoal Grilled Spring Chicken, Charcoal Grilled Steak, Charcoal Grilled Lamb and Pira Oven Mushroom.
Some of the must-try desserts include Pavlova, Spiced Pineapple, Crème Brûlée and many more.
