2019 is drawing to a close, and typical for the year end, everyone’s in a holiday mood. (It can’t just be me, can it?) It’s peak season for travelling, and everyone seems to be jetting in and out of the country. However, if you’re not a fan of travelling during peak season or just haven’t got any plans yet, we have plans for you. You’re welcome. May we suggest these family-friendly resort & spas in Malaysia for you, where you don’t have to travel international, and could also get some proper downtime? Go and enjoy!
1) Club Med Cherating
Club Med Cherating is one of the more well-known destinations, and rightly so. Located in Kuantan, Club Med Cherating is in close proximity to the beach, so beach bums and sea lovers will find themselves right at home here. If all you’re looking for is to unwind, visit the Mandara Spa and relax yourself into oblivion. Best of all, they even provide tailored kid activities from the age range of 0-17 years! From on demand childcare service to kid-friendly facilities, you and your kid(s) will enjoy Club Med immensely!
Yet another popular getaway spot thanks to its location by the sea, Lexis Hibiscus has plenty of offers and facilities to make your stay all the more enjoyable. All rooms come with their own private pool, and there’s also a family package available for those with young kids. There’s never a dull moment at Lexis Hibiscus thanks to its array of activities, and kids shouldn’t miss out on their Kidz World Package either!
For the city dwellers who really don’t want to travel far, this is the one for you. Cyberjaya is literally just there, and it’s easily accessible thanks to highways. Currently, they even have a school holiday promo going on, where you can choose to stay for a night or two, inclusive of breakfast. Indulge yourself in their Sembunyi Spa for total rejuvenation, while kids can look forward to activities such as Petting Zone, Lakeside Fishing, Sliding Castle and Bunny Appearances.
A theme park, hotel and hot spring destination all in one? It doesn’t get any better than this! Stay and play your days away thanks to them being all-inclusive – you don’t even need to travel much once you get there. With 64 attractions, 10 parks and 109 animal species, your kid(s) (and you too) won’t ever be bored here. You could even get night park access, and experience what it’s like staying in a theme park overnight!
Moving further up, we have a resort on Langkawi. Langkawi is one of Malaysia’s most-visited islands, and resorts on Langkawi are aplenty, with most of them being family-friendly too! At first glance, Camar Resort Langkawi may not seem that kid-friendly, but for those who want to just spend some quality family time at the seaside, this is a great choice. Camar Resort Langkawi has the longest swimming pool in Langkawi at 77 metres, and their pool is salt water, making it safer and gentler, especially for kids!
Leogland is a pretty recent addition to the multitude of theme parks and vacation destinations we have, but it has already garnered plenty of attention and visitors. Frankly, it’s easy to see why. Who doesn’t like life-size Lego, honestly? Furthermore, there’s a water park to go along with it, as well as Sea Life Malaysia. As it’s the school holidays right now, you could also take up their hotel + ticket package, and save up to 35%!
Okay, this one has even less travelling, with it located right in the heart of Sunway City. The best for short getaways, you can visit their spa, drop by Sunway Lagoon Theme Park and shop over at Sunway Pyramid. Therapy in all forms to fulfill all your relaxation needs! At the moment, they’re also having Christmas, New Year and weekend buffet promotions, so really, at Sunway, kids and adults alike can eat, sleep, play and repeat!
Philea Resort & Spa looks like the kind of place you want to visit, and never leave. Green lawns coupled with open space gives you the feeling of freedom, and there are plenty of facilities to keep everyone occupied. Game rooms, karaoke rooms, swimming pool, gym and sauna, golf course, spa… really, you could take your pick with what you want to do or what you don’t want to do. Even lounging in one of the chairs seems like a dream.
You’re all set to have whale of a time at Avani Sepang Goldcoast Resort with its AvaniKids club and AvaniSpa, as well as beach and garden facilities. You can also choose to partake in water sports, a river cruise, or a rural village half-day tour. As their website will tell you, you can either “live it up or wind down”. Who knew that just 40 minutes away from KLIA, you’d be able to get this kind of experience?
