1) Black Bean Coffee & Tea Company
If you live in Kuching, Black Bean Coffee & Tea Company wouldn’t be an unfamiliar name to you. Operated since 2011, it was believed by many to purvey Kuching’s finest brews. This tiny café serves coffee freshly roasted from Sarawak coffee beans as well as others such as Arabica, Liberica and Robusta coffees grown in Java, and Sumatra. In addition, they also serve oolong and green teas from Taiwan.

2) Indah House Kuching
If you’re an art lover, you will definitely fall in love the moment you step into this café. Indah House Kuching is the only place in the city where you can have a sip on a drink, a slice of home baked cake, appreciate the paintings of the local silk artist and buy some handmade jewellery all in one go. Customers who walk in will also be greeted with big smile by the team who runs the café. The art pieces are showcased at the art gallery located at the upper floor of the café.

Cuppa-Kap Coffee started its operation in 2013 by a couple originated from Sibu. Apart from the variety of coffees, they also serve tea, soda drinks, and cakes.

5) Sukha
This is one of the most hipster cafés in Kuching. This cosy place is furnished with the re-manufactured table from the sewing machines and every corner is well designed with the owner’s utmost effort. They serve a selection of menu and great coffee. This café is operated by team of Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) certified Barista, Roaster, Golden Cup Technician, Lead Instructor, and CQI licensed Q Grader. Their goal is to serve fresh quality coffee beans that are sourced from different origins, treated and brewed prudently with different methods to extract the quintessence of every bean into a cup for their customers to explore and enjoy. Apart from coffee, they also serve a selection of desserts and pastries.

Although The Coffee Factory is located a little far from Kuching city centre, its coffees have never failed to attract more and more customers. Its interior is made out of recycled wood, unique lighting, coupled with natural sunlight and the scent of freshly brewed coffee in the air, explains why it manages to attract many youngsters to choose this café for hangouts and gatherings. This place serve good coffee, cakes, breakfast, Asian and Western cuisines

8) Destino De Espresso
The café owner, Mr Willie, hope to provide a place for his customers to hang out with their friends, meeting over business deal, or just indulge in your own solitude, or a place to find your destined partner. This is why he named his café as ‘Destino’, because he believes strongly in fate and destiny. Its beautify decoration definitely attract many customers, especially the unused piano string exerted in a full cast-iron frame as the partition in between seating area, it was such a brilliant idea! Apart from coffee, the café serves cakes, salad, pasta as well sandwiches.

9) The Coffee Clinic
This café serves fine coffee and fresh bread and cake. Speaking of the decoration, it emphasise a lot of raw timber and coupled with the wooden floor it has a rustic vibe which is very in the moment. The café plays high fidelity music and occasional live bands, made this café stands out from the hipster café scene in Kuching.

10) Cupella
Founded in 2014, this café is designed for selfie crowd with its quirky artwork that lines its walls. The decoration gives us a New York feel to the place. The owner, Jago Ten, would like to turn this place to a place to head to after work or study to grab coffee and meet up with friends. The café serves good coffee as well as a selection of cakes and desserts.
