But thanks to Sangkaya, you can enjoy the famous street-food dessert right here in KL. And that was way back in 2014 when Sangkaya first started as a small pushcart ice-cream seller in Jalan Alor. Today, they can be easily found in various outlets throughout Malaysia. They use only natural ingredients with no added preservatives or flavourings whatsoever for their best-selling coconut ice cream. To retain its authenticity and flavour, they eschew traditional cow’s milk in favour of pure coconut milk as the main base for their ice cream.
