Their food does not contain preservatives or chemicals, making it the perfect choice for parents who want their kids to eat healthily. 2) Rimba & Rusa

At Rimba & Rusa, they believe “everyday is Sunday”, and with that in mind you can certainly expect a whole lot of fun. Rimba & Rusa is an off-shoot of the Wondermilk brand, so you can expect to find similar items like cakes. Their outlet is in Sunway Nexis, and has two levels. It seems that many kid-friendly places serve up yummy cakes, and Gula Cakery is no exception. They have over 150 cake options at their Kota Kemuning outlet, and what’s more, baking classes are also taught here for kids and adults alike. They’re open Tuesday through Sunday, from 12 noon until 9pm. Kids will definitely enjoy the extra-large play area that is well stocked with toys and books.

4) Dear Azalea

This place is pretty much like a kid’s candy-land, literally too, with lollipops and sweet treats for sale. Parents can kick back with a cuppa, or a comforting meal, while the young ones have ample space to play in the children’s area within the café. There are also items for sale like party supplies. 5) Benbino

Another success story by The Big Group is Benbino, which is a child’s paradise. Benbino is located at Publika, and if their large custom playground isn’t inviting enough, then check out their wholesome menu that has fun-sized options for the kids to enjoy. 6) Marmalade

Marmalade has two branches currently, with one at Publika and the other, at Bangsar Village II. Their menus feature hearty kids set meals with choices like mac and cheese that come with a drink and a scoop of vanilla ice-cream. Choices for adults are abundant as well. In addition to having a large enough space to organize birthday parties and events, there are also play areas available for kids in both their outlets. The Publika one even has two, with one outside and one indoors.

7) Happikiddo (Quill City Mall)

It’s called “Mum’s favourite shop” for a reason, but you can do more than just shop for items for your infants, toddlers and children there. Inside the shop is a café, called Big Daddy Little Chefs. Menu items are reasonably priced, with Asian and Western options to choose from. While you wait for your meal, you can shop and the kids can enjoy the play area. Events can also be held at the Café.

8) Noriter

Noriter is located at 1 Mont Kiara Mall, and is made especially for the kids to enjoy. Access to the play area costs RM10, but if you order anything that costs more than RM20, kids can go play for free. There is also a baby-changing room within the café itself, so you needn’t fret if any diaper-related accidents occur. Like many on this list, you can also consider Noriter as a venue for children’s parties.

9) Tuck Shop

If you like variety in your meals, and your child’s, then Tuck Shop is the perfect location. Situated on the 4th floor of Bangsar Shopping Centre, this place is similar to a food court, with many different Asian and Western type stalls to choose from. However, what makes it stand out from regular food courts is that it is child-friendly and surrounded with places that kids will happily flock to, like the play area and Jungle Gym.

10) Namoo on the park

Namoo on the park is a Korean café located in Publika. In addition to quirky desserts like Sweet Potato Cake, they also have an extensive meal menu that’s peppered with Korean specialties with a fusion twist (Bulgogi burger, anyone?). Kids can happily enjoy the playground outside while parents tuck into some comforting meals, amidst the pretty interior decorations.
