Urbanscapes 2018 – 16th, bigger and crazier!

Urbanscapes has pride itself as Malaysia’s creative arts festival and has come a long way since its humble beginnings in 2002. Back then Facebook hasn’t even existed, so you can imagine how much of throwback this is. Now in 2018 it will make its return for the 16th year, bigger and crazier!


Who Are They?

Urbanscapes was founded with an aim to gather the Malaysian creative communities from various fields such as music, the arts, design, and film. They strongly believe that great things can happen when people come together.

The festival has now grown to hosting globally- renowned headline acts that shares the stage with local acts.

What To Expect ?

Urbanscapes 2018 is set to be held between the months of April and May at the Urbanscape House along Jalan Hang Kasturi. There will be wide range of food stalls, art fiesta, and fashion exhibitions in the span of three weeks. The best part of it? Entrance is free of charge!

Workshops such as tote bag painting, calligraphy, terrarium, food styling and photography are also available for all to join.

As for the music line-up, it comprises of Perth-based psychedelic rock band Tame Impala, drum-and-bass duo Rudimental falling on May 1st. On May 7th, French electronic act M83 will take the stage. All these acts will be held at KL LIVE.

On April 24th, don’t miss out on local rock acts Hujan and Bittersweet who will be sharing the stage together. Watch out for this year’s additional regional acts at The Bee Public. They consist of a free showcase by Singapore-based label Phyla on April 30th and The Observatory on May 5th. The presale tickets for the latter is priced at RM50 and RM60 at the door.

How To Get Tickets?

Tickets to Urbanscapes 2018 are available for online purchase through TicketPro and Rock Corner outlets nationwide. The tickets are limited and are divided into three phases. Please note that ticket sales will be moved on to the next phase once ticket quantity has been sold out.
