Shawn Mendes recently announced that he will be coming to Malaysia as part of his Asian leg in his self-titled tour. So exciting! This is the first time that the 20 year old singer will be performing in Malaysia.
Shawn Mendes is one of the hottest male vocalists of the year and he’s coming to sing for us live. Through his self-titled tour, he will be visiting a few South East Asian country and we are so happy we made the list. His concert will be at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil in Kuala Lumpur on the 5th of October.
Background on Shawn Mendes
Shawn Mendes first started his music career with the boom of the Internet. He posted six-second covers of popular songs sung by the likes of Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, and Adele on Vine. Through this, he managed to catch the attention of artist manager Andrew Gertler and Island Records A&R Ziggy Chareton. This led to him being offered a record deal with Island Records. Since then, he has graced us with three beautiful studio albums, headlined three world tours, and received numerous awards.
As of now, Mendes has 15 billion streams globally, three No.1 albums, and three Top 10 singles on the Billboard Charts. Currently, he is doing a worldwide tour which will see him performing in more than 100 cities. All this at the age of 20, what an accomplishment. Of course it is all deserved as he is very talented.
Mendes released his highly anticipated self-titled third album back in May 2018. It debuted as No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart and various additional worldwide markets. His album also quickly became No. 1 on iTunes in more than 80 countries immediately upon release. The album cemented Shawn Mendes as the third youngest solo artist to have three consecutive No.1 albums.

- 5th October 2019 – Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
- 8th October 2019 – Jakarta, Indonesia
- 10th October 2019 – Manila, Philippines
- 13th October 2019 – Macao, Hong Kong
- 16th October 2019 – Tokyo, Japan
Shawn Mendes will be performing at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil (indoor arena) on the 5th of October 2019. Tickets are priced at RM428 (Cat 1), RM358 (Cat 2), and RM258 (Cat 3).
