1 Utama has done it again! As the world’s 7th largest mall and Malaysia’s largest, 1 Utama is constantly achieving industry firsts and setting retail standards. Today, they have yet achieved another milestone by being the first mall in Malaysia to launch their very own retail mall e-wallet, as well as an e-commerce platform. As the pioneer mall in Malaysia to launch these things, 1 Utama is digitalising the retail mall landscape.
1PAY
1PAY is the name of the e-wallet, and it is an enhancement of 1 Utama’s existing loyalty programme ONECARD privileges+. With 1PAY, all you have to do is scan and pay, and earn instant ONECARD loyalty points called UPoints. Not only is paying with 1PAY fast and secure, but there are several other cool features as well, such as:
- A cash balance of up to a maximum of RM1,500
- Debit/credit cards or bank account links
- Top up, receive or transfer cash to other e-wallet users
- E-voucher rewards
The launch of 1PAY is in accordance with Bank Negara’s 10-year roadmap to a cashless society, especially as society moves towards mobile technology and social media as a lifestyle. Best of all, 1PAY can also be used at participating merchants in Bandar Utama, including One World Hotel, Centrepoint and The Club.
ONESHOP
On the other hand, ONESHOP is 1 Utama’s own e-commerce platform. By setting up ONESHOP, 1 Utama provides consumers with the chance to shop with ease from the comfort of one’s home. Furthermore, ONESHOP is set up internationally, reaching customers worldwide and exposing local brands and tenants globally. This is in turn will encourage tourism for Malaysia. Delivery is free for orders above RM100 to West Malaysia, and above RM200 for East Malaysia. In the future, 1 Utama hopes to launch a ONESHOP mobile app and a LUXE page for high value brands as well!
1PAY & ONESHOP Launch Roadshow
It’s the last long weekend in September, and what better place to go than 1 Utama? From 13th to 16th September 2019, 1 Utama is hosting a large-scale Launch Roadshow to promote and introduce 1PAY and ONESHOP. There will be cash rebates, cashback for top-ups and free gifts! Shoppers can also join 1PAY ONESHOP’s Spend & Win Contest (from now till 7th November) to win attractive prizes, including that Dyson hairdryer you’ve been eyeing. Last but not least, remember to keep an eye out for a certain Spartan, who is actually Gerard, ONESHOP’s butler.
