Nowadays it can be a bit of a struggle to find something that can help us to pass the time. Movies can seem dauntingly long, TV shows are a big commitment, and games can get boring after a while. Sometimes we want something that can be played while we handle other responsibilities. Personally, I like to have a podcast on while I tidy up my room or do my drawing. It’s just nice to have something that you can tune in and out of once in a while. Did you know that Spotify offers you more entertainment than just the ability to listen to your favourite songs?
Spotify Offers You Podcasts
I’m sure that many of us already know that Spotify offers you the chance to listen to podcasts. You can find a variety of podcasts ranging from topics such as Stories, Health & Lifestyle, and also Business & Technology. It’s a great way to sharpen up on some topics without committing to a whole book.
There are also Malaysian podcasts that you can check out. Penang Hokkien Podcast is the first ever podcast held completely in Penang style Hokkien while The Malaysian Podcast talks about topics and issues of importance in Malaysia. To access podcasts, simply go to Browse on your Spotify and select ‘Podcasts’ which is located next to ‘Genres & Moods’.
Can Spotify Make You Laugh?
Another feature on Spotify is the comedy section which is also located under the Browse feature. Here you can find some of your favourite comedians delivering an audio focused show. Check out comedians like Amy Schumer, Anna Faris, and Trevor Noah. Additionally, you can find some comedic podcasts from The Ming Thing (Table Talk Podcast) and JinnyBoy (Mamak Sessions).
Too Lazy To Read?
Spotify offers you a great number of audiobooks that are sure to keep you occupied. In fact, Spotify has ‘The Hunger Games’ trilogy, ‘Love and Misadventure’ by Lang Leav, and the ‘Goosebumps’ series which is ideal for the kids!
Moreover, Harry Potter and the Sorcerers’ Stone from The Harry Potter series is releasing in chapters. And the best part is that there will be familiar voices reading them! The first chapter is already out and is being read by Daniel Radcliffe himself.
Spotify Offers You Language Classes Too!
Under the Browse feature, scroll all the way to the bottom and check out the Word category. Here is where you can also find plenty of audio classes offering you the chance to learn Chinese, French, Spanish, and more.
