Whether we remember them or not, we dream. Depending on your point of view, there are several theories as to why we dream. Some think it’s the brain processing data, some think that the soul leaves the body to explore, and some think it’s just the workings of the unconscious mind. Regardless, a number of people still think that dreams have a deeper meaning to them. Here, we’ve compiled a list of 11 common dreams, and what they may mean.
1) Trapped
Usually, this means that you feel like you’re stuck in a situation in real life, and desperately want a change. Perhaps a certain situation has been going on for some time and left you feeling helpless, so you might want to try a fresh approach. Considering a new job or going on a short getaway is a good idea!

2) Death
A common dream, death dreams can be disconcerting, especially if it’s the death of a loved one or even yourself. This signifies that you may be scared of change, and are feeling vulnerable. However, change is part and parcel of life, so remember to go with the flow.

3) Falling
Falling dreams may occur when you feel like you have no control over your life. When you desire more freedom in your life, you may dream about falling as well. You can’t control everything in life, so perhaps your dream is telling you to take a leap of faith, let go, and enjoy the fall.

4) Animals
Dreaming about animals are usually linked to basic instincts, and the animalistic nature within us. In reality, we can’t act on every single instinct we have, and many become repressed. These may then manifest in the form of animal dreams. Specific animals also represent different meanings, such as snakes representing a difficult situation or unsettling emotions.

5) Demons & Monsters

Your anxiety may manifest through exam dreams.

It may also mean that you’re running away from the truth, but you’ve got to face it sooner or later.

10) Babies
