Ah the time has once again come where Polis Diraja Malaysia is offering citizens with a nice discount. Sure, it’s not really a good thing that you have summons in the first place but at least do your best to pay for it. Now is a great opportunity because you will be receiving a lovely discount from the PDRM!

In a recent announcement on Facebook, PDRM made the announcement in regards to unpaid summons. Those who make their payments from today (26th March) until Sunday (29th March) will receive a 50% discount.

Do take note that physical counters that accept payment are now close due to the MCO. As a result, payments can only be made online and thus only e-payments are eligible for the discount.

Moving on, this discount is a way to encourage Malaysians to stay at home while MCO is ongoing. We should not leave the house unless for the utmost basic necessities such as groceries and medical supplies.

As such, this discount will help to encourage us to learn how to pay for our summons online. It is also a good way to show that responsibilities such as paying our bills can be done via the Internet.

However, PDRM is only allowing for certain summons to be eligible for the 50% discount. Severe traffic offences must be paid in full despite the discount period. We still encourage you to make use of online payments and to pay your summons that are due.

If you are interested in paying for your summons online then you can head over to MyEG as well as Rilek. Both platforms allow you to enjoy your 50% discount so don’t worry! You will need to register an account before paying with either Credit Card/Debit Card or online banking.
