Maggie Lindemann is an upcoming singer from Los Angeles. The soon to be 21-year old singer-songwriter will be performing for the first time in Malaysia. She is set to perform on the 21st of June at The Bee in Publika.

Maggie’s most popular song to date is the hit ‘Pretty Girl’ which was released back in 2016. The song hit the top 10 in Sweden, Belgium, Norway, and the UK.

‘Pretty Girl’ is a declaration of her identity being more than just what people see at the surface. In the song she talks about how she can swear and smoke if she wants to.

Maggie shows her resistance to the worlds expectations of her being a pretty girl who wears ‘ribbons and pearls’. There are days where she’s in a good mood and days where she feels like quitting.

The song is a way for her to tell people that even though she might be in the public eye, she is more than expectations. At the end of the day, she is a person who has flaws and makes mistakes.

Through the lyrics she is showing that she is unapologetically herself. It’s a pretty good song which you can listen to here.

Another great thing about this song is that it allows the younger audience to know that celebrities are still people. She is being true to herself and inspiring girls around the world to embrace themselves.

Her performance in Kuala Lumpur is part of the soft launch of #thenewbee. The Bee in Publika recently had a makeover.

As of now, early bird tickets are sold out. Advanced tickets are RM188 while VIP tickets are RM288. The Bee is also giving you a chance to win a meet and greet with her which you can see here.
