Music is a universal language that people around the world can listen to and bond with. However, both developers believe that music is actually under-utilised in game design. Therefore, No Straight Roads will put the focus on music without turning into a rhythm game.

Players will be part of an indie rock band that is set on taking down the massive EDM empire. There will be a lot of strong visuals to tell the story of music cultures and ideals. All while also elevating the role of audio in game design.

No Straight Roads features a world that follows the music within the context of a proper action game. Metronomik compares it to Nier Automata, Kingdom Hearts, and Devil May Cry. No Straight Roads also represents music in its entirety which includes the culture and creativity behind it.

Moreover, props can turn into weapons with the power of music. The way you play the game will also bring changes to the music. Enjoy the shifts between rock and EDM in a seamless manner. Additionally, look out for the Malaysian elements such as the wayang kulit and dikir barat songs. Furthermore, the voice actors are also local talents.

No Straight Roads will be available as a unique PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and PC game. The game is also available for pre-order on the Metronomik website.
