However, before you start getting excited about applying here are some of the things that you should know. Firstly, you will only be able to stay in New Zealand for 6 months in total.

While you may be able to fly to New Zealand within 12 months of receiving your visa, you will be able to work, study, or train for just 6 months. During this 6 months period you will be able to fly in and out as many times as you like.

Moreover, applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 30 years old in order to apply. This visa is also a once in a lifetime one so make sure to make it count.

You must also have enough funds to be able to buy your flight tickets. The website quotes NZ$ 2,250 or RM6,087 as the minimum to prove that you can sustain your travel.

After applying, it usually takes up to 20 working days to receive word on your application. You will receive an email that approves your visa or that asks you for more information. You may also be asked to prove that you are healthy with an x-ray or checkup.

Moving on, you are not required to already have a job waiting for you in order to apply for the working holiday visa. In fact, if you enter New Zealand and decide not to work, that’s fine as well.
