Jay Chou is a man of many many talents. He is a Taiwanese musician, singer, songwriter, record producer, film producer, actor, as well as a director. And he’s also really good at what he does which means he has quite a big fanbase. Therefore, if you’re a fan then Machi Machi should be on your list of places to go! After all, it seems to be one of his favourite bubble tea chains in the world.
Yup, that’s right. He has a favourite bubble tea chain that he visits whenever he’s traveling the world. In fact, he’s been to the outlets in Taipei, Japan, and even Malaysia! Not to mention that Machi Machi has also made an appearance in his ‘Won’t Cry’ music video.
In the music video, the female character is seen working in a bubble tea shop which happens to be his favourite shop. Furthermore, the name of the shop is said to be inspired by his wife’s Pomeranian named Machi.
Moving on, Machi Machi is a bubble tea brand that focuses on bringing you a new taste. They move away from the typical bubble tea that you will find in most shops along SS15.
They are known for the ‘God of Cheese Tea’ offerings where they serve you with some cold tea with a layer of milk and cream cheese foam on top. It’s like a drink and dessert all in one!
They’re also known to have some interesting drinks that come in a very cute bottle. Bestsellers include the black milk tea with panna cotta, fresh strawberry milk with panna cotta, and jasmine green tea with plum jello.
The chain recently opened their store in Lot 10 so check it out if you’re in the area.
