Ask your parents and they will definitely have heard of Kenny G who has probably serenaded them once or twice. In case you haven’t heard of him, Kenny G is an American jazz saxophonist. He’s is so good that he is considered as one of the best-selling artists of all time!
Fun fact, Kenny G impressed Clive Davis, label president of Arista Records, back in 1982 with his rendition of Dancing Queen. He then rose to popularity with his 1986 album titled Duotones which featured famous singers such as Lenny Williams.
To ensure his popularity and be able to capture hearts, he has collaborated with a very diverse crowd of artists. This includes Andrea Bocelli, Celine Dion, Frank Sinatra, and most recently even Kanye West.
Furthermore, he also has a few popular Chinese songs such as Jasmine Flower, and The Moon Represents My Heart. In 1989 he released Going Home as part of his Kenny G Live album which surprisingly gained popularity in China.
In fact, it is considered to be the unofficial national closing song for businesses, shopping malls, and even train stations. Many people consider the song to be associated with the time to finish an activity.
Moving on, Kenny G will be coming to perform for us in Resorts World Genting this February! He has three previous shows under his belt which were all met with applause and great reviews.
