Let GrabFood Grab Your Food for You!

Sometimes, you really want to go out and eat, but you also really want to stay in at home. What do you do? Welcome (again) to the world of technology, where food can be delivered right to your doorstep – via GrabFood!

GrabFood by Grab

Following the merger of Grab and Uber earlier this year, we lost UberEats as well, causing us to have one less food delivery option. As Southeast Asia’s leading ride-sharing service, Grab has also ventured into food delivery services! Already operating in certain areas, the food delivery service, called GrabFood, will officially be launched on 28th of May.

Where does GrabFood operate?

At the moment, the GrabFood service is available in Mont Kiara, Sri Hartamas, Bukit Damansara and Bangsar. In the near future, GrabFood will expand its delivery areas to include Kampung Baru, Chow Kit, Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Titiwangsa, as well as Setiawangsa.

Who are GrabFood’s participants?

GrabFood will host over 300 merchants, and it already has KBG (Bangsar), Markirito, La Juiceria Superfood Cafe, Humble Chef, Inside Scoop, and Devi’s Corner on its list. In order to cater to a more diverse customer base, GrabFood also aims to include more localised flavours, as well as both halal and non-halal cuisines.

Fees, Payments & Requests

GrabFood has not implemented any kind of minimum order requirement, so if you’re craving for just a single scoop of ice-cream from Inside Scoop, go for it! However, there is a flat-rate of RM 5 delivery fee. Customers can make payments through the GrabPay system, where they can collect points to redeem rewards and benefits. For every RM 1 spent on GrabFood, you can accumulate 5 GrabReward points! If you’re an existing Grab user, you can link your account to the GrabFood account, so payments will also be linked seamlessly. Otherwise, you can create a separate account just for your GrabFood app. Also, if you have to cater for a large group, you can pre-order your meals up to 5 days in advance!
