Many of you have seen him in Crazy Rich Asians as Eddie Cheng, the rich cousin who cares too much about his image. He is seen telling his family what to wear and how to pose for their optimal angles.

However, did you know that Ronny Chieng is actually from Malaysia? Yup! He was born in Johor Bahru before being raised in New Hampshire, U.S as well as Singapore. Ronny then attended University of Melbourne and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws.

Currently he is a comedian and actor as well as a senior correspondent for on The Daily Show on Comedy Central. Furthermore, he is also the creator and star of Ronny Chieng: International Student. It’s a sitcom that premiered in 2017 and is based on his experience as a Malaysian student in Australia.

This 30th November, Ronny Chieng will be having his homecoming live shows in Malaysia! It’s also part of his Tone Issues tour and he is also performing in Esplanade, Singapore on the 29th.

Meanwhile, this comes right after the filming of his very first Netflix comedy special. There will only be two shows available so make sure to quickly buy those tickets.
