Don’t worry, the accommodations are cleverly landscaped so that guests have privacy and access to the sea views at Cherating beach. 3. The Colony
I have actually stayed at The Colony before – it is a bungalow that was converted into a hotel that is centrally located near everything you need. It has a large lawn at the side where there’s a swimming pool. There is also a garden area at the back of the house that makes for good photography spots (I know because that’s what I did with my friends 😅). The rooms were clean and cosy. Although the rooms are not very spacious, The Colony would be perfect for smaller families and young children.
4. Laman Sentosa Boutique Hotel
One review has given high recommendation for this accommodation especially if you have a family with older kids. The Laman Sentosa Boutique Hotel is a bungalow style homestay with a cosy and comfortable environment. Many guests have also praised the minimalistic aesthetic and design of the building! It comes equipped with a swimming pool which the kids would love. In terms of convenience, the city centre and tourist attraction spots such as Teluk Cempedak are only a 10-minute drive away.
5. The Sky Inn
The Sky Inn in Kuantan offers lodging with a restaurant, free private parking, and an outdoor swimming pool. Teluk Chempedak Beach is a 2-minute walk away which makes its location ideal. There are quite a few restaurants and activities at the beach that you can enjoy with your family. Other nearby attractions include Taman Gelora, a scenic seaside park that would make for a fun picnic outing. A suitable place for big family gatherings as the villas can have a maximum occupancy of 25 pax for each villa. Each villa has six bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom, as well as a huge living room, kitchen, and private pool. Even better, both villas include a terrace where you can have a BBQ and dine al fresco. If you don’t feel like cooking your own meal, there are plenty of restaurants serving delicious seafood in the area.
7. Le Lodge Mansion
Conveniently situated in the Kuantan city part of Kuantan, Le Lodge Mansion is quite the popular accommodation for big groups and even events such as weddings and company retreats. Rooms are huge and there is also a swimming pool that guests would love to use during our typical hot weather. The interior design of the place gives off a slight industrial vibe if you are the aesthetic kind. One of their main features is the rooms with an open-air bathtub – in case you ever wanted to soak under the stars.
8. SilaLima
Nestled in Kuantan, SilaLima is a bungalow guest house that rents out its rooms. Providing peaceful and modern accommodations, each room contains either a double bed or 2 single beds that can fit 2 pax. If you have a bigger family, you can consider renting more rooms which is what some of the guests did. Reviews of the accommodation also revealed how happy guests were with the location, environment and tranquillity of the guest house. A great option if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city!
