Fuel Your Day At These 8 Brunch Spots in Singapore

So, you are sleeping in on the weekend and plan to fill your tummy in the late morning or early afternoon. And when the time comes, it’s brunch, where you can find them in many cafes and restaurants. From the hearty big breakfast to gourmet sandwiches and eggy meals, fuel your day at these 8 brunch spots in Singapore in alphabetical order.

1) Amber Ember

Ever heard of jaffles? No, we don’t mean waffles and the aforementioned word is not a spelling error. The jaffles in question are actually Australian toasted sandwiches or toasties using brioche pressed in a cast iron. And here at Amber Ember, they serve them all day long with four choices available: Cheesus Loves You, Fowl Play, Truffle Fun-Guy and Nice To Meat You 2.0. Nice puns, indeed. All jaffles here come with a side of rocket or tapioca chips. For instance, Fowl Play is chicken-licious — a savoury combination of lemongrass-ginger roasted chicken thigh with oozing mozzarella, chimichurri and garlic aioli.

Address: 730 Upper Serangoon Road, #01-01 Singapore.

2) Forty Hands

Forty Hands has two outlets available including Tiong Bahru and East Coast Road. And both of them serve all-day breakfast menus. Hungry? Start your day with Big Boy Breakfast with a choice of protein of either beef or pork sausage. It comes with assorted sides like grilled tomatoes, crispy streaky bacon, beef bolognese and any style of eggs that you prefer. And if you are a big eater, you can add extra sides for a fraction of the price. They also serve others like Eggs Benedict with grilled bacon or a juicy steak and the savoury-sweet Banana Bacon French Toast served with maple syrup. Remember to leave room to taste their pau, notably Forty Hands’ signature tau sar pau a.k.a. red bean bun.

If that’s not enough, they also include caramelised onions and red cheddar stuffed between a homemade English muffin. Alternatively, there’s Ultimate Diner Breakfast — OverEasy’s classic big breakfast style packed with two eggs of any style you want and other add-ons like a hash brown, chicken sausage and toasted sourdough.
