Father Throws Hot Water on His Jobless Son after Arguing

Recently, a man was arrested for allegedly throwing hot water on his son. The son is a 35 year old and is jobless. The incident happened after they had an argument over some financial matters. Is money really a matter worth such harm?

The 66 year old man apparently was having an argument with his son in regards to the dividing of money. George Town OCPD Asst Comm Che Zaimani Che Awang has said that the son mentioned that his late mother had purchased insurance for the family.

When the policy matured a few years ago, his father had made claim to the money and divided it among his children, except for the victim. According to the victim, his father who makes a living as a prawn monger, gave him a RM10 note instead of his rightful RM30,000. He even handed the money through the house window.

The victim moved towards the window and was met with hot water instead. His father was arrested on the 9th of May but has been released on police bail. Meanwhile, his son is suffering from burns on his face and body. The victim is also the youngest among the four children.
