Marking the end of Ramadan is the festival of Eid, which is known as Hari Raya Aidilfitri. While the Chinese give out Ang Paos during Chinese New Year, our Muslims friends will give out ‘Green Envelopes’ (sampul hijau or sampul duit raya) during this festive season. Green colour was chosen because of its association with the Islamic paradise. However, as the trend evolves, the designs of sampul duit raya became more suitable to the likings of the younger generation with more contemporary feel and themes.
Here are the sampul duit raya designs by the banks in Malaysia, and they are presented in alphabetical order.
