Malaysia is blessed with many public holidays and when the days align just right with the weekends, we get ourselves a long weekend! We get to save on our annual leave since we don’t have take that many days off. The next long weekend that is coming up is the Raya celebrations which fall on the day after Labour Day – in total, we have a total of 5 days off including the weekend!

And not just two weeks later, we have another long weekend awaiting us when Wesak Day falls on a Sunday, hence a replacement holiday on Monday. Wow, May is proving to be an amazing month to take some time off to spend with your loved ones. Of course, there are still more long weekends in the following months, so be sure to bookmark this article for future reference!
1. La Hilir Luxe Camp @ Kuala Pilah
Take a break from the hustle and bustle of city living and breathe in some fresh air at La Hilir Luxe Camp with your loved ones! 4. Rockbund Fishing Chalet @ Lumut
As a Perak local, I am upset that I only found out about this place recently. How did I never know this lovely place existed? Well, I’m glad I know now and so do you! Rockbund Fishing Chalet is located on the coast of Teluk Muroh in Lumut, Perak.
If you would like to vacation by the sea or love fishing, this is the ideal place for a getaway. It also looks like a lot of people also hold their weddings and celebrations here. Not surprising with the mesmerising sea view as the background! The chalet consists of 21 two-bedroom cabins that are just a few steps away from the sea. And yes, there are fishing decks above the sea for all the fishing enthusiasts.

5. Cameron Highland Retreat @ Cameron Highland
Tucked into the lush hills of Cameron Highlands is a wonderful retreat filled with cosy and welcoming repurposed container-rooms – imagine waking up to fresh air, misty skies, and beautiful greeneries right outside your windows.
