8 Latest/Alternative Bubble Tea Brands In Klang Valley Other Than Chatime Or Tealive

Let’s face it, food and beverage trends tend to come and go. But not for bubble teas. Since the bubble tea craze made its mark in the late 1990s, we have seen the rise and fall and rise again of this delicious beverage over the last two decades until today. Now, most of us may have grown accustomed to commonly-seen or popular bubble tea brands like Chatime, Tealive and to a certain extent, Gong Cha. If you are looking for a new or alternative selection, here are the 8 bubble tea brands in Klang Valley that you might want to try.

1) Soylab @ Damansara Uptown

Soy milk beverage is nothing new. You can easily find them in a food truck as well as packet, bottle or canned forms in supermarkets and convenience stores. But how often do you find a cafe that dedicates exclusively to soy milk-related products? Originated from Baixian Food Industries Sdn Bhd, every soy product in Soylab is made from the carefully-selected premium non-GMO beans. They even pride themselves in creating a range of soy products that contain no preservatives or artificial flavouring whatsoever. Some of their recommended products include the silky-smooth signature tau foo fah and “Soy Frozen”, which is basically a soy-based shaved ice topped with adzuki red beans, grass jelly cubes and crushed peanuts. Fans of bubble milk tea can look forward to their unique “Bean Looking For Her” or “Bean Looking For Him”. Instead of using tea as a base, they combine soymilk or black soybean milk with freshly cooked tapioca pearls and homemade brown sugar syrup.

2) Tiger Sugar @ Sunway Pyramid

In a seemingly never-ending bubble milk tea brands from Taiwan, here’s the latest one that finally made its mark in Malaysia earlier this year: Tiger Sugar. Located at Sunway Pyramid, Tiger Sugar is named as such because of its “tiger stripes”-like dark brown sugar combo with a thick milk tea made from fresh milk. Each of the aforementioned ingredient as well as others like boba pearls is all freshly prepared on a daily basis.
