Okay first things first: what’s Netflix’s Geeked Week? Well, basically it’s a a virtual fan-facing event celebrating all things genre entertainment at Netflix. It ran for five days from 7 – 11 June last week, but if you were busy like us and missed out on it, here’s your round up of Geeked Week. From major announcements to exclusive teaser and trailer premieres, as well as BTS footage and celebrity games, there’s so much to discover! Each day also featured different genres: film, comic books, fantasy, anime/animation and gaming. More than 50 Netflix projects are already lined up, but we won’t go into all of them, just the ones we think we like best, and what you like best.
Day 1
1) Critically-acclaimed fantasy series Shadow and Bone summons a second season!
2) Directed by Peter Thowarth’s Blood Red Sky is an upcoming horror film about a mysteriously ill woman flying with her young son who is forced to unleash a dark secret when terrorists attempt to hijack their transatlantic flight.

Day 2
1) The Umbrella Academy unveils all 10 episode titles for the upcoming third season of the hit superhero series.

2) The first-look images from the forthcoming first volume of the fifth and final season of beloved La Casa De Papel is revealed.

3) Behold! An exclusive, early behind-the-scenes look at the first-ever screen adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s acclaimed DC comic book series The Sandman.
Day 3
1) All roads lead to Fear Street in the new trailer for the upcoming Fear Street Trilogy, a 3-week movie event based on R.L. Stine’s terrifying classics.
2) Don’t be late for class with The Coven as they unveil a bewitching first look at the upcoming book-to-screen adaptation of The School for Good and Evil.

3) The devil is in the bloopers for Lucifer as the cast get up to hilarious shenanigans while shooting Season 5.
Plus, revisit the episode that started it all in this pilot table read with the cast of Lucifer.
Day 4
1) Based on the lauded Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hiroyuki Takei, Shaman King debuts on Netflix 9 August.
2) From the creator of Fairy Tail and based on the Japanese science fiction manga series written and illustrated by Hiro Mashima, the adventure begins on EDENS ZEROon 26 August.
3) With one more month to go ’til it officially drops, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness teases an exclusive first look at the opening sequence of the anime series.
Day 5

CD PROJEKT RED and Netflix also announced the virtual fan event WitcherCon, unveiling the date and first details of their global online celebration of The Witcher franchise, teased via a Twitter conversation between the two companies, who are coming together to present the first ever multi-format event dedicated to The Witcher universe.
2) The Castlevania universe is expanding! A new series centered around Richter Belmont and set against the backdrop of the French Revolution is in the works.
3) We got to see new images and a first-look clip from Arcane, the highly anticipated animated series set in the world of League of Legends, one of the most popular games in the world.
