10 Things You Will Regret Not Doing In Your 20s

Ask anyone if they wish to go back to their 20s. Most of the answers will be a firm YES! It is always when we get older, we start to look back, only to realize that we could have done things differently. To all of you in your 20s, here’s a list of things you should do, or else you will regret in the later stage of your life.

1) Traveling The World

Traveling becomes harder the older you get, especially when you have a family and kids. Start to travel and explore the world in your 20s, even with limited budget. That’s when you have the freedom and have no commitments.

2) Save More Money

As we get older, we start to realize every single cent counts. Any excess cash would be a blessing when family or business commitments kick in. Start saving while you are young!

3) Dating

Date until you really find the one whom you can spend the rest of your life with. Avoid wasting your youth staying in an unhappy relationship.

4) Party Hard

The older you get, the less likely you will have the chance to party. You simply won’t have the stamina anymore and even if you do, obligations for family will be a natural curfew for you to go home early.

5) Go to College/University

Don’t be too eager to jump into working life early. You will be spending the rest of your life after university, working! If you have the chance to study abroad, you should. That’s once in a lifetime opportunity to experience different culture and to open up your perspectives.

6) Do Crazy Stuff

Remember that you only live once. Be adventurous and try new things in your 20s because as you grow older you will no longer have the guts for exploration anymore.

7) Start Up Something

The older you are to plan to start up something, the less likely you will pursue due to higher risk at stake. When you are in your 20s, you have next to nothing to lose. If you fail, your advantage is you get to start again.

8) Making More Friends

Networking may seem like a bunch of crap when you’re young, but later on it becomes clear that it’s how so many jobs are won. Start to develop network and contacts early.

9) Spending Time With Your Family

We spend most of our times with friends during our 20s. But never neglect your family. Spend time with your parents and siblings as they are the ones who will be there for you whenever you need help.
