10 Delectable Seafood Restaurants You Should Try In Klang Valley

Honestly speaking, there are plenty of seafood restaurants you can find in the Klang Valley area alone. We have compiled and rounded up these selected 10 Delectable Seafood Restaurants You Should Try in Klang Valley, listed in alphabetical order.

1) Fatty Crab @ Taman Megah, PJ

The name of this pork-free seafood restaurant says it all. And not surprisingly, it’s their signature chilli crab that tops the list as a must-order dish. The crab particularly pairs well with their thick crab gravy, which has a subtle hint of sweet, sour and spicy taste. Other recommended dishes include their fried rice and chicken wings. A word of warning, though: do try your best to come as early as possible to avoid the long queue.

Here’s another popular seafood restaurant located in Kg. Sungai Kayu Ara. The restaurant is both spacious and cosy, particularly if you are looking for a casual dining experience with your family or a large group of friends/colleagues. Best of all, each seafood item here such as fish and prawn is fished live from the aquarium and cooked upon order. 6) Pince & Pints @ Jalan Telawi 5, Bangsar Baru

Located at Bangsar Baru, the Singapore-based Pince & Pints is reputed for their lobster dishes. Their price range mostly starts from RM168++ and above, which isn’t particularly recommended for those who are looking for a “reasonably-priced” seafood outing. Every lobster that is served in the restaurant is wild-caught and air-flown from the Atlantic Coast on a weekly basis. This is to ensure what you will get here is fresh, live but definitely not frozen lobster. Some of their recommended lobster dishes include the “Live Whole Lobster” that is either grilled or steamed cooking method. Each dish comes with a side serving of chef’s salad, straight-cut fries and herbed butter sauce. If you want a little something unconventional, you can opt for their “Lobster Roll”, which is basically a bun sandwiched with lobster meat. The side serving of garlic aioli complements well with the Lobster Roll, thanks to its mayonnaise-like garlicky taste.

This halal-certified seafood restaurant is renowned for their scrumptious crab dishes, even though you can get other seafood varieties like fish head curry and fried squid. But back to their crab dishes, you should try some of their recommended menu such as the chilli crab and salted egg crab. For something more adventurous, they also serve a unique combination of crab and Maggi (yes, that Maggi).

8) Restoran De Maw @ Pudu Ulu, Cheras

Situated within a walking distance from Aeon Maluri and Sunway Velocity, Restoran De Maw is reputable for their seafood dishes. Among their recommended menu here are the steamed fish varieties, where you can choose them to be cooked in Teochew or superior soya sauce-style. Keep in mind that the tables are particularly limited, so it’s best to call them for reservation (03-9285 7833) to avoid disappointment. Their restaurant is located at 18, Jalan Pudu Ulu (besides PGRM building).

9) Restoran New Wong Poh @ Bukit Mayang Mas, PJ

10) Shell Out @ Various Locations

The best way to enjoy a crab is to… get down and dirty. And frankly, they are not wrong about that. Unlike most seafood restaurants that come with plates and utensils, there are no such things in Shell Out. Remember the “down and dirty” part? Well, they pour the crab on a long table covered with a designated paper and want you to enjoy using your hands. Placing an order is as simple as 1-2-3 (think of it like ordering a Subway and you’ll get the idea). All you need to do is pick your catch (e.g. crab, prawn, lobster or lala) followed by the type of cooking method of your choice (e.g. lemon pepper or butter garlic). Finally, you can choose to “spice up” your seafood dish from mild to super spicy a.k.a. “O.M.G!!!” level.
