Pos Malaysia has launched a series of Marvel themed stamps as a way to encourage youths to collect stamps. The designs of the stamps feature our favourite characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For example, look out for Thor, Iron Man, Spiderman, and many more.
This is the first time that Pos Malaysia is launching such an interesting set of stamps.
As mentioned above, the reasoning for the launch of these steps is to encourage youths to collect stamps. In fact, many of the younger generation are tech savvy and prefer to communicate through social media.
Letters have become associated with bills and formal occurrences.
Pos Malaysia senior vice president of Marketing Schrene Goh was present at the launching ceremony. She said “Therefore, it is our hope that the introduction of such stamps would attract the younger population to collect stamps and rejuvenate the stamp collecting interest in this modern time.”
The inspiration for a Marvel theme comes from a collaboration between Pos Malaysia and Walt Disney Southeast Asia. It is a way to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Marvel.
The stamps series is available in a complete folder set. Each set contains two souvenir covers, two postcards, three stamp sheets with eleven stamps, and one folder.
Unfortunately, the stamp sets are limited to only 10,000 folders so you need to be quick. However, the stamps can only be bought as a complete set and so you won’t be able to pick your favourites.
