Founded in 2015, Monice Bakes offers customised cakes that are suitable for various occasions, including birthdays, weddings, and baby showers just to name a few. Thanks to their customisable nature, cakes from Monice Bakes are also great as gifts! Monice Bakes was initially a hobby, where founder Monice posted photos of her bakes (particularly icing cookies) on Instagram with the hashtag #monicebakes to document her progress. She is passionate in both baking and art, so Monice Bakes was the perfect opportunity to fuse the two together. From her postings, friends were interested in purchasing her products, and so that prompted her to turn her passion into a small-scaled business.
A One-Woman Show
Monice Bakes is an online home-based business, and Monice manages it all by herself. Armed with an interest in art & crafts and baking, as well as a major in Business Admin, running Monice Bakes is the best way for Monice to make use of her talents and skills. Monice specialises in birthday-themed designs, such as cartoons, unicorns, longevity, 21st birthdays, hobbies, and more, though anyone who is looking for customised cakes will definitely find something to their liking. Some of Monice’s signature flavours include Chocolate Coffee Cream, Matcha Black Sesame, and Earl Grey. Besides running Monice Bakes, Monice also loves writing blogs (personal), and she co-owns District Sixtyfive. Occasionally, she reminds herself that she cannot please everyone all the time no matter how hard she tries, though the quality of the cakes remain her priority, as every cake sent out to her customers is a trace of her success.
