Allegro Music & Arts has been around for over 25 years since its humble beginning as a music school in 1992. The initial music school was the brainchild of Ms Esther Law, who decided to open her own business as the result of her two children back in the early 1990s. Law, who has more than 30 years of experience in music education, is also a piano tutor herself. She dedicated her teaching to foster the children with quality music education. After all, she is a firm believer whereby “every child is born with natural musical and artistic capabilities [which] can be developed into their full potential through well-supported learning from the early years”. Since 1992, Allegro Music & Arts has welcomed a diverse range of clienteles including local children, pre-college students as well as expatriates and children from royal background. Apart from Law, she has also recruited a team of international teaching staff from local tutors to overseas music teachers coming from the likes of China, Europe and Uzbekistan.
Nurturing Children Through Music Education
Allegro Music & Arts offers various music courses for kids aged 3 to 7 onwards. The class includes the Early Childhood Music Courses, which is specially designed to help the children understand the purpose of music in both art and everyday life experience. Children get to learn everything from discovering the fun of playing a musical instrument to developing positive accomplishments like self-confidence and promotes inner creativity.
More Than Just A Music School
In 2008, Allegro Music & Arts has gradually expanded from a music school to a learning centre that combined art and dance lessons. For the art classes, children are able to express their own creativities through various art-related programmes such as 3D constructions and creative painting. Each of these lessons are designed to train and improve the children’s analytical thinking and communication skills.
As for the dance courses, Allegro Music & Arts offers the likes of ballet, hip-hop as well as jazz and Body Ballet fitness programme. These courses, which promotes the children’s self-expression through creative body movements, are all in the accordance of the prestigious Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus. The ballet dancing is particularly conducted under the mentorship of Madam Natalya Urazova, the Head of Dance who is also a registered RAD teacher since 2003. Finally, the Body Ballet fitness programme is spearheaded by dance instructor Ms Olga Chichina, who dedicated her teaching to promote a fun-filled workout through the combination of dance and ballet movements.

Allegro Music & Arts doesn’t just restrict their teachings in regular classes. The children also get to explore different learning environments such as collaborating with international visiting artists through masterclasses and workshops. Other times, they even have the opportunities to travel abroad for music study trips including Vienna, Salzburg, Milan, Budapest and Singapore.
Decades Of Music Excellence
Allegro Music & Arts has achieved numerous accolades over the years since its establishment in 1992. For instance, in 2013, the centre was selected as the official Malaysian Representative for the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama (RWCMD) in Wales, United Kingdom. Their services include consulting & recruiting students for further studies at the tertiary-level music performance in the United Kingdom, as well as hosting a live audition. Two years later, Allegro Music & Arts signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Westline Education Group in Cambodia to promote cultural exchanges as well as music and arts education. This year, Allegro Music & Arts has celebrated its 10th anniversary for the inception of the Dance department.
