Planning a trip to Singapore but not sure when is the best time to head on over to our friendly neighbours? Well mark your calendars for the Singapore Food Festival that is happening from the 12th to the 28th of July.
Make sure to bring comfortable pants because you will be spoilt with choice at the Singapore Food Festival. This is the 26th edition of the festival and is themed as ‘Savour Singapore In Every Bite’.
The Singapore Tourism Board describes it as an event with ‘delicious delectable dishes, culinary insights and unique dining experiences’. Expect 20 partners of the event to offer experiences with food ranging from heritage items to modern cuisine.
Streat is the main event and features a number of stalls selling delicious food. Some of the stalls include Meat Smith Singapore, Indian Express, and FatPapas Burgers and Shakes.
Estimated price of dishes at Streat is expected to range between S$3 – S$15 per dish. Head over to The Promontory at Marina Bay during the evening hours for Streat.
Make sure to keep a look out for the local flavours of Ya Kun’s popular snack, Pocky. They are introducing local flavours like Kaya Toast and Kopi O. You can look for their stall at Streat or check any Ya Kun outlet.
Local brand LiHo Tea will be launching their new Avocado Kopi drink to commemorate the event. However only selected outlets will have this drink.
Head over to 7-Eleven to grab some quick bites with a local taste. Look out for chicken satay onigiri, salted egg tamagoyaki, and takoyaki with chilli crab sauce and egg mayo.
