Many of us who have been to Bangkok probably know that they are basically experts at flea markets. Look at Chatuchak market that has more than 15,000 stalls with a variety of goods being sold. Which is why we are so excited that Artbox is coming back to KL!
Artbox is Bangkok’s famous flea market that uses the concept of containers. As in the huge containers usually used for shipping purposes. They make for some pretty good pictures and the whole vibe of Artbox is really chill and creative.
At this flea market you will find so many options for retail, F&B, as well as music & art. This is the second time that they are coming to Malaysia. Last year was the first instalment of the flea market and was held in Sunway City’s outdoor open air car park.
This year will be held in the same location for two weekends in September. Head over there from the 6th to the 8th as well as the 13th to 15th this September. The event will open its doors to visitors from 3pm to 11pm.
Walking through this flea market will definitely be a very different experience from your typical pasar malam. Here, you will find original and cool products all in one place. Some even may describe it as hipster.

A lot of the items being sold are usually handmade by artisans and designers. Some of which are local. Most of the designs you will find are pretty unique and show a lot of skill and craftsmanship.
If you get tired of shopping you can check out the other activities there. Expect creative art installations, performances, and some musicians jamming out to entertain you.
