Happenstance was created with animal needs in mind, there’s a huge space for them to trot about here, and even a pasta menu especially for them! Humans, fret not, there’s plenty of food for you as well, but it’s not everyday pets get a special menu for themselves. They’re open every day, and you can find them at 35 Opal Crescent.
3) Sun Ray Café
Have you ever wondered if you should get a cake for your dog’s birthday? Well, wonder no more! At Sun Ray Café, that’s doable! You can get a meat or food based cake to order in two sizes – 250 or 500 grams. They also have a pet-friendly menu, and the food for animals is made without seasoning. People-friendly food includes fresh baked goods from their bakery, and they are also known for their special coffee brews. They also have a variety of meals to satisfy any palette.
4) Paw Pet-Radise Café
Whether you’re a pet owner or not, you are welcome to visit the Café. They’re located at Balestier Road Monville Mansion, and the café is open daily, save for Tuesdays. The great thing about this establishment is that they open till 1am on Fridays and Saturdays, perfect for night owls. Meals are available for pets and their people, and parties can even be organised for your pets. Bento style meals are favoured here.
5) Paws N Pans
Paws N Pans is located on Joo Chiat Road, and they too have a menu that is pet and human-friendly. From waffles for two-legged patrons and hormone free chicken meals for four-legged customers, you can be assured of a good and healthy time at this café. They also work with local Animal Welfare Groups to hold adoption drives, as well as create awareness on responsible pet ownership.
6) Canopy Garden Dining
Head down to Ang Mo Kio Avenue, and bask in the lush greenery at Canopy Garden Dining. Even if you’re indoors, the glass windows stream all the wonders of nature in, giving it a welcoming atmosphere. Though they don’t have a menu especially for pets, they do welcome animals in the establishment. It is also great for the kids, making it a perfect stop for the whole family. They are open daily.
7) W39 Bistro & Bakery
If you’re a fan of European style dishes, get your pooch and head on over to this dog-friendly café. In addition to freshly baked pastries and bread, they also have a delicious menu. Dog treats are available too, in case your precious pup needs a snack or two. And for the humans, a lovely array of cakes is guaranteed to satisfy a sweet tooth. They are open daily, except for Mondays, and they’re located at Jalan Mas Puteh.
8) The Cat Café
The felines aren’t forgotten! The Cat Café at Victoria Street is the perfect kitty-therapy for those deprived of feline affection. They guarantee a safe and clean atmosphere, with the promise of a good cuppa and the company of some lovely cats (all are former strays or adopted). Children under 6 are not allowed on the premises, and those under 12 must have adult supervision. You’ll need to pay $15 per entry, and this entitles you to a complimentary soft drink too.
9) The Company of Cats
Known as Chinatown’s first cat café, this Mosque Road establishment is simply “purrfect” for lovers of felines. The “company” is comprised of rescue cats, as the team firmly believes in adoption and not buying animals. A portion of the profits earned by the café is donated to Animal Lovers League, so you’d be supporting a good cause while you have fun. Their rates are available on their website, and do keep an eye out for Member Promos if you plan to be a regular patron.
10) Kith Café
Kith Café currently has three branches in Singapore – at Millenia Walk, Robertson Quay and Sentosa Cove. Early risers and their pets will appreciate this café that opens at 7am daily, this will make it the perfect stop for an after-walk breakfast or coffee run. In fact, they’re quite known for their coffee brews, so don’t miss out on a cuppa. Definitely a well-loved spot, by kids, adults and furry ones alike!
