Tai Thong’s Chinese New Year Set menus range from RM538++ to RM1,188++ for 6 pax and from RM828++ to RM1,928++ for 10 pax. Being the largest Chinese restaurant chain in Malaysia, it is known for its exquisite offering of traditional Cantonese specialties. Businessmen always claim that this restaurant is the best Chinese restaurant in Kuala Lumpur. Prices are steep though, no two ways about it so only go there when you really feel you need a great meal. 4) Youmiqi, Jalan Klang Lama

Elegant Inn is a pretty luxurious restaurant that serves Hong Kong cuisine. Despite the higher end prices, considering that one gets the freshest ingredients and the exacting standards. The set menus are made available on their website.

7) Restaurant East of Highway, Sri Kembangan

This is the most economical set menu. The restaurant is just by the roadside, 5 mins drive from The Mines. This place is congested with excessive cars and crowd. 8) Kechara Oasis

9) Xin Cuisine, Concorde Hotel

The menus comprises braised soup with dried seafood, steamed cod fish with garlic, stewed abalone with fish maw and seasonal vegetable, baked fresh water prawn with King superior soya sauce, waxed meat rice in claypot, pomelo puree with mango sago and many more. Note : Xin will be closed for on the first day of new year and reopen for business on January 9, 2016. Dim sum breakfast starts from 9.00 am. Look out for lion dance show and other exciting shows at the hotel lobby.

10) Shang Palace, Shangri-la Hotel

Five set menus – Great Prosperity, Rich Fortune, Happy Reunion, Wealth Treasures and Immense Wealth – ranging from RM221 nett per person to RM5816 nett per table of 10 are available at Shang Palace. The set menus are available on their website.
