1) Hoi Yin Curry Noodle

Hoi Yin curry noddle is located at Jalan Teluk Cempedak in Kuantan. The curry broth is mildly spicy, creamy and sweet. If you like it to be more spicy, there’s a chili sauce ready on the table. You can add it as much as you want depending on the spicy level that you desire. Each bowl comes with steamed chicken, cockles, bean sprouts and tofu puffs. This place is even open on weekends and public holidays. It closed on every alternate Mondays.

2) Terminal Satay Zul

Terminal Satay Zul is a very good satay place in Kuantan. It is located at Jalan Haji Abdul Aziz, Kuantan. The barbecued meat are juicy, generous and flavorful. The satay also goes very well with the delicious “kuah kacang” (peanut sauce). However, the service can be quite slow due to the heavy crowd. Other than satay, the restaurant also sell nasi lemak, nasi dagang, bakso and others.

3) Ana Ikan Bakar Petai

Ana Ikan Bakar Petai is a popular ikan bakar place located at Tanjung Lumpur in Kuantan. It boasts fresh seafood ranging from fish, squid, cockles, crabs, lala and prawns. Once you arrived at that place, you will have to choose the seafood that you want and then, the cooking style for each seafood that you chose. What makes Ana Ikan Bakar Petai different than other ikan bakar places is the Ana’s grilled fish that is grilled in spicy sambal sauce that was infused with petai.

4) Sara Thai Kitchen

Sara Thai Kitchen is restaurant that is famous with serving authentic Thai food in Kuantan. It is located at Jalan Teluk Sisek. This place is open Monday to Sunday. The tomyam served at this place is a fushion of Malay and Thai style. If you are craving for Thai fusion food with a hint of Malay style, this is definitely a place for you to try. The seafood are also fresh with reasonable price.

5) Ah Wah Restaurant

Ah Wah restaurant served Thai and Chinese food. Their signature dish is the assam fish. The assam fish will be served with metal dish that came with charcoal underneath them. It is to keep the appetizing and spicy gravy warm. The gravy is also refillable! Ah Wah restaurant is located at Jalan Berserah in Kuantan and only open during dinner time.

6) Cendol Air Putih

Cendol Air Putih is also known as the Kuantan Cendol. According to the locals, it is THE place to go for cendol! It is located at Jalan Air Putih and it opens on Tuesday to Sunday. You will see that this place is crowded with people most of the time due to it’s popularity.
