What’s the Unicorn Fun Run?
The Unicorn Fun Run is actually a series that has been running since July this year. So some of you have probably heard of it. In fact, some of you have probably even participated in one of the runs.
It has been held in 36 different locations around Malaysia such as Kota Kinabalu, Penang Island, Miri, Segamat, and more. Almost 150,000 runners have participated.
The finale event will be held in Dataran Putrajaya on the 15th of March 2020.
How much and what do I get?
Tickets to join the run are fairly inexpensive for a run and what you get at the end. Furthermore, the first 500 to sign up are entitled to the Super Happy Bird Ticket price. That means for 5KM it’s RM18, 10KM is RM28, and 21KM is RM38.
It’s a small price to pay for some magical fun time!
Meanwhile, in the kit you will receive a really cute shirt, timing chip, and bib number. After you complete the run you will also receive a super adorable medal as well as some refreshments. Participants of the 21KM run will also get a finisher t-shirt.
There’s no time to waste! The Unicorn Fun Run finale has already gotten 25,000 sign-ups on just the first day of registrations!
Unfortunately, this means that there are no more Super Happy Bird tickets for the morning 5KM run. However, the organisers have opened up two new timings for the 5KM fun run. There will be evening and night flag off times too.
How to Participate?
Signing up for the event is pretty simple. Just download the JomRun app on your phone and register for an account. Next, search for the Unicorn Fun Run Finale, Sign Me Up, and pay. Once payment is complete you will receive an e-ticket in your app.
Furthermore, JomRun is hoping to break the world record for the most participants in a racing event. The current record is 116,086 runners and JomRun is aiming for 200,000 participants in the run.
