Huawei has just launched its Mate 20 series, consisting of four different models. However, we’re narrowing down the focus to the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, and here’s why you should get it!
1) The Best of Both Display Worlds
The Infinity Display pioneered by Samsung is nothing new, but what happens when it meets the Apple iPhone X notch? Huawei Mate 20 Pro is what happens, and no other smartphone has picked up on this innovative design yet!

2) Faster Speeds, Precise Location
Huawei Mate 20Pro is the first ever phone to support Cat. 21 LTE connections of up to 1.4 Gbps and Wi-Fi download speeds of 1,733 Mbps. Of course, this also depends on whether your mobile carrier supports it or not. Furthermore, the phone also features dual-band GPS (L1 + L5) support for more accurate localisation.
3) In-Screen Fingerprint
You could of course use the 3D Face Unlock system, but a simple touch on the screen could also do the trick! The in-screen fingerprint isn’t a new feature, but Huawei Mate 20 Pro has quicker speeds in detecting your fingerprint and unlocking your phone.
4) Leica Triple-Lens Camera
Not one, not two, but three camera lens! Photography enthusiasts rejoice! There’s the 40 MP main RGB lens (normal shots with great detail), the 8 MP telephoto lens (distant shots), and the 20 MP Leica Ultra Wide Angle Lens (close-up shots). Few smartphones feature triple-lens camera as yet, so this is definitely something novel.
5) A Bunch of AI Features
As if having three different camera lens wasn’t enough, Huawei has also built software that supports AI-powered features on top of the camera hardware. Translation: you can bring anything to life – virtually. Simply scan your desired object with the 3D Depth Sensing Camera to create a live model. Proceed to take photos or video record it moving.
6) 7nm Kirin 980 Processor
Apart from Apple, no other smartphone maker has rolled out smartphones featuring the 7nm chip technology yet. Basically, this processor is a “direct performance upgrade of speed improvement and power efficiency”, according to Huawei’s website.
7) USB Port or and Speaker
Why choose when you can have both? You can use the USB-C port to charge, transfer data, or listen to music (headphone jack). But when it’s not in use, it double ups as a bottom speaker as well. Talk about multi-purpose!

8) Project Wirelessly
No more troublesome cords, no more where do I connect this. With the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, you can project your content wirelessly to a screen, as long as the screen supports Miracast tech. What’s more, even while projecting, you can still use the call and text functions independently without affecting the projection or compromising your privacy!
9) Charging Wonders
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a fast-charging battery, which only takes 30 minutes to recharge 75% of its battery life. It is also the world’s pioneer of reverse wireless charging: your phone can be a wireless charge pad for devices that support wireless charging. How cool is that!
